MCB Director Style, step two!

Step two…. MCB Director Style!

Well recruits about a month ago we shared with you how one director had taken her first step in her journey to MCB… A cleanse!  She has now taken step two, Crossfit and is here to share!

Hey guys, so still hearing the “wow, sounds like a really cool event, but I need to get myself in shape first.” ( I myself was reminded last week that some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.  Thanks for the push Scott, I guess I just needed to be reminded that I am a make it happen kind of girl! )  So, I have decided to share with you again.  You’re not alone, about a month ago I did the benourished cleanse as my first step towards being able to conquer the most insane 5km mountain adventure race on the planet!  Last week I decided it was time for me to step it up a little more!  For the last 6 month I have been tossing around the idea of starting Crossfit, however have felt a little intimated, ( just my own ego getting in the way. )   Well last night I did my first Crossfit Foundations class!

Step two is underway.  I just need to remember to check my ego at the door.  While it’s certainly not the first time I have worked out, Crossfit is new to me and as much as I would love to be a pro already after one class, that’s just not reality.  I also have to remember this is about me, pushing myself, making myself better, so what if someone else picked up double unders already and I haven’t, I will get there!

So I have now taken the second step on my journey to MCB, have you taken yours?

Cheers, Jen

Couch to 5k is a great program for those wanting to start running. Mix that up with weights and various cross training for good results. All the best : )
