MCB recruits it seems as if Mother Nature may just want to add a 16th obstacle to our course tomorrow!  

The final push is on for the Met Con and Blue Mountain Resorts course and obstacle build crew. On site and in position are these gruelling obstacles…

Congratulations to our Canadian Athletes for putting forth an outstanding effort! 18 medals makes us all proud, but it was was the unwavering determination in our athletes that brought us so close to the edge every event. It is this determination and mind set that all participants of Met Con Blue Mountain Adventure Race experience. We have truck loads of breaking news coming out of our camp this week, including our presence at Can Fit Pro; the announcement of our Fall Met Con Launch Party; the date for our ginormous boot camp coming soon to Blue Mountain Resorts. Our 11:00 am wave is almost full as we have 3 weeks left to sign up for the most insane 5km mountain adventure race on the planet!

Its now time for the MCB nation to decide: Pick the obstacle that you wish to see in our September 8th, 2012, Met Con Blue Mountain Adventure Race. As you click the like button on our MCB Facebook page, also enter your idea of a cool name for the obstacle.  MCB will randomly draw the name from the entries submitted from the obstacle with the most votes, and the winning name will pay homage to the person who submitted the obstacle name on our course sign.  Super Cool! The Pick and Name contest ends on July 22nd, midnight.

At Met Con Blue, we have a great thing going! The most awesome support system including our enthusiastic participants and our loyal sponsors. We all know the obvious why most of us run adventure races. It’s the primal instinct of challenge , fear, drawing out adrenaline which gives us the rush. But wait!  A close friend informed me on other instincts which have now associated themselves to the Met Con Blue Mountain Adventure Races…

Met Con Blue Nation, you have earned your stripes! What an amazing feat of strength, courage, and determination … by completing the most insane 5km mountain adventure race on the planet! How did all this come about…TEAMWORK!!
We thank all of our participants for bringing it…and leaving it all on the mountain!
We thank all of our volunteer base from Georgian College, through our local community, to the Coyotes, for watching our backs every muddy step of the way.
